Introduction

Improve your phone's security with Lockwatch, a discreet app that captures a photo of anyone trying to unlock your device with the incorrect passcode. This innovative tool sends you an email with the snapshot of the unauthorized user and their precise GPS location without their knowledge, helping you track down misplaced or stolen phones. Featured in various media outlets, Lockwatch operates seamlessly with Android's lock screen, maintaining a compact size and activating only when an incorrect passcode is entered, ensuring minimal impact on your device's performance. Upgrade to the Premium version for advanced features like multiple photos, audio recording, and SIM card detection alerts for enhanced protection.

Features of Lockwatch:

- Covert Security Measures: Lockwatch discreetly captures a photo using the front camera after an incorrect passcode is entered on your phone. This sneaky feature ensures that unauthorized users are caught in the act without their knowledge.

- Location Tracking: In addition to the photo, Lockwatch also sends an email containing the precise GPS location of the unauthorized user. This helps in quickly locating the missing or stolen device.

- Media Recognition: Lockwatch has received attention from various television and online media outlets due to its effectiveness in recovering lost or stolen phones.

- Minimal Footprint: Operating efficiently within Android's native lock screen, Lockwatch maintains a compact app size and only activates when an erroneous passcode is inputted.

Playing Tips:

- Set a Strong Passcode: To ensure that Lockwatch functions effectively, make sure to set a passcode that is at least four digits long. This will prevent false alarms and unnecessary email alerts.

- Upgrade to Premium: For enhanced protection, consider upgrading to the Premium version of Lockwatch. This allows you to capture multiple photos, record audio clips, receive notifications for new SIM card detection, and enjoy an ad-free experience.

- Respect Privacy: Lockwatch requires Device Administrator permission to monitor unlock attempts. Rest assured that the app adheres to strict privacy and security protocols to protect your personal information.

Conclusion:

Enhance your mobile security with Lockwatch, a powerful app that discreetly captures unauthorized users trying to access your phone. With its covert photo capture and GPS location tracking, Lockwatch has proven to be a valuable tool in recovering lost or stolen devices. Worked great for a few years. Just upgraded to a phone with Android 12. Now the notification emails come through with a location and a sound clip, but no picture. It says "Unfortunately a photo could not be captured this time."

Absolutely does what it says. I like the feature that prevents the pic and location from being emailed if you just goofed inputting password. Reimputtin it correctly within 10 seconds saves me from seeing my ugly mug when I check my email. Great app.

Android 11 broke it. I've been using the app for several years, it's awesome when it works but with 11 it doesn't or can't ask for the right perms. It needs camera - always, not only when using app for example. With some work this could be the best security app for android again.

good app. your description says: "All of these additional features are available when you upgrade to Lockwatch Premium in the app. This costs about $4 USD but you only need to purchase this once."..... however im charged biannually, since having premium features. The description is misleading.

Feature missing I purchased the premium version for the feature of also sending an alert to a trusted friend. That feature is not there! I've contacted the developer and will upgrade to 5 stars once I get that feature. I've already caught a nosey spouse at 5am!

Works as advertised, very handy. I like the location and selfie in the email upon unsuccessful lock attempt. It would be better if the email could be customized with which Samsung phone experienced a breach attempt - for those of us with multiple Samsung phones.

Definitely it is a good app. but It would have been a better app if it could have been added the features of.. 1) Automatically "wifi or mobile data on" attempting wrong password. 2) Captured a photo with flash light for night hours.

Guys this is a great app. Just something if you can add. The system does not alert if anyone tried the face unlock. If you can add the feature where we get email even when someone tries face id that would alert us anytime anyone picks the phone as well.

Does what it say but of no use if you have multiple devices. No family account so had to buy multiple individual licenses. Email alerts do not provide details of the device (such as Device Name) the images were sent from (my family alerts are sent to me). Emailed support to see if it could be added with no response.
