Has nice themes, is terrible at typing. Especially bad at typing in landscape mode. Personal dictionary doesn't work, corrects words wrongly a lot, changes many swiped words to uncommonly used words or proper names I have never used, doesn't know or can't learn many words: Pokémon, all Hawaiian words, company or brand names, "corrects", "uncommonly", "wrongly", when pressing the delete key types "l" a lot or when pressing the capitalize key types "a" a lot, among other problems. Not so good now.... It used to be better. Sadly, when you opt to use the spell/grammar check, it makes things worse. And it's been getting worse over time. I'm going to switch keyboards soon if they don't fix these problems. Having to correct the app's continuous errors in the corrections it makes is such a waste of my time! Please fix or I'm moving on.

There's no active learning of how you type, hence the keyboard makes the same mistakes again and again. The swiping word recognition algorithm is really bad, can't compare to others. You have to be really precise, or you will never get your word out.

Do not use this. The EULA forces you to give up any right to good then responsible for anything, including data breaches. It also makes you agree they can update without your permission at any time and it forces you to accept their marketing emails w/o your permission. It also gives them some pretty broad data collection permissions automatically. All of that side, I delete any greedy app that requires a subscription for full features immediately. I purchased software, not rent it.

Garbage. Have to constantly fight with it. When you select numbers it will change back to letters. Cannot find any options to disable the autofkup feature and always fighting to change correct words it changed to completely different words back to my intended words. Uninstalled this garbageware.

I've been using ginger for two years. Initially I loved this app enough to recommend it to many people but more and more it has been falling short in the word suggestion area. Whenever I need the accurate spelling of more difficult words, ginger isn't able to suggest the correct spelling. It seems to have only a high school level database. I find that my only recourse is to use google voice. Many of my friends are having the same problem. People who use spellcheck, have even more issues!

Good app! Some problems I have are: 1. You can't choose if you want the small numbers and symbols above the letters to pop up on your keyboard or not. 2. There isn't Zhu yin in Chinese, there is just pin yin. 3. The stream is a bit off (it doesn't write the word I want it to write), GBoard was more accurate, but I prefer this app because it checks your grammar. Please fix these problems. Keep up the good work!

Good keyboard but has a several big cons. $15 a year membership to get rid of ads and get full functionality and unlimited correction? Most of the free themes are ugly. When I chose a free theme it wants you to register with your google or other account. I will stay with Swift key as it has all the functionality and more FOR FREE. If Ginger charged a one time, reasonable fee that would be fare but on going yearly fee is ridiculous for a keyboard application. Sorry.

Missing an very important feature: Literally the first word I typed (someone's name), the keyboard didn't recognize. It's a name that I use a lot, so I wanted to add it to my dictionary. The only way to add it to my dictionary is to open keyboard settings, which is a lot of extra clicks for something that's going to come up a lot.
