When you don't get a recorder app on your phone (stock) then this is the solution . Appart from being asked to rate the app,you get the occasional small ad for their own products( but real low key and not that annoying). You can even edit your audio clips in-app. ( Which is a killer feature)

It is a fast and convenient way to be able to record anytime anyplace, perfect for rehearsals and gigging.. as well as taking notes. I rate this at five stars. Just installed. I was sold right there by no ads, and old Mac legacy... The app looks great - simple, no nonsense, very small (3.5 mb!) Two wishes: 1) Please add mp3 format. It already has wav uncompressed (great but huge!), and AAC (Old Mac school, great but needs converting to mp3). Having mp3 would put smile on faces of at least 85% of today's users... including this one. 2 Make it the user choice if he wants to store recordings on the phone or on SD card. It is important for most of us.

This is a great app, simple yet superb. I've tried a lot of different apps like this but the recording quality of this one is far superior to most. The app allows one to swap to another app while it's open so if you need to access texts or emails during dictation you can.

I used this app to record a continuous 45 minute class. Afterwards when playing back, it had only recorded 17 minutes! I purposely did not touch my phone so as to not interrupt the recording. Poor choice in selecting this app! They FALSELY ADVERTISE unlimited. Or do you have to pay to get unlimited? Not worth it for college students.

Sound Recorder Plus is not merely a dictaphone. It is an ideal tool for capturing bird songs and playing the recordings back to attract the "singers" at a later time. By using the built-in gain function the playback volume can be adjusted. Great app!

It's very basic but what is here is done really well. Not going to judge it on what's not here. What we do get is an easy to use, recorder that's of a high standard. No umpteen ads to watch during before & after intact, not an advertisement in sight with this TOTALLY FREE sound recorder. You'll be hard pushed to find better.
