Why restrict the user area!?! Tried several times to connect a plug to the new app (works on e-control) on this one it keeps giving me "current account location does not match the user area supported by device" error. Followed instructions of deleting the account and setting it up again but as the switches are ~3 years old I don't have the box anymore to check but UK plug, so UK area set up but it still wont work! Tried contacting them to solve it but so far havent gotten an answer.

When not being used, app logs out. I use a complex password and have to look it up every time. That more than annoying! And what's up with the half English, half Chinese symbols? You really couldn't bother to translate de app descently?? This app seems unfinished and it has been like that for a long time. In other words, they simply don't care to make a descent app.

Edit: Broadlink's suggested solution in response to this review doesn't work. It hasn't ever worked. It's just the first result on Google. I can't remove my old Broadlink devices from Google Home, Broadlink isn't even linked to Home anymore yet the entries still persist. Ultimately it was so frustrating that I bypassed Broadlink and switched to Home Assistant.

Too awful for words! Downloaded this app to control a wi-fi switch with Google Home. Scanned the QR code and was asked if the device was set to AP? However, there was no option to reply Yes or No so came to a grinding halt. The instructions are poor at best and I'm quite savvy with setting up wi-fi related devices but this is beyond me. Fortunately, the switch is also touch sensitive so did what we originally bought it for. Nothing should be this complicated!! This is for the TC3/S3.

    1. it doesn't include Traditional Chinese 2. Please add timer for scene 3. It DOESN'T support per BUTTON scene of remote. It only support on/off TV in the scene, while the old e-control and IHC app support that. 4. Add custom icon and drag position 5. I really hope Broadlink can provide a function that can import all the settings from e-control and ihc, and user can use a single app! Please be user friendly, as a fans of broadlink I don't want to setup everything again everytime for a new app!

Works well when you figure it out. Looks a bit better than the old eControl app. Had to reduce my 2.4ghz wifi to WPA-Personal AES+TKIP before I could get my RM Pro Plus to detect and connect to the app. Once connected, can change router settings back to WPA2. Could also do with single button switches for things like garage remotes as well as ability to rename the actual switch.

Great for getting basic remote functionality. Having trouble pairing my projector Screen. As projector remote is IR remote based and my screen is RF remote based. Worked around it by setting screen up as a roller blind. Also no ability to define when a double press is needed to shutdown things like projectors and set top boxes that as you to confirm you want to turn off is a bit of a drawback and something that could and i think should be rectified in the broadlink app.

Awful app. Trying to setup an RM4 mini. It requires connecting to the RM4's WiFi, which I do, then the app just gives a popup asking to connect to the device's WiFi. I switched from my Pixel 5 to a Samsung tablet to try again, got past this step and get to a screen where the device connects to my WFi (and is on my WiFi device list), the tan connects to the WiFi, then the app tried to connect to the device and endlessly fails. Tried both AP and Smart setup, neither works.

It's ok, but somewhat unreliable and buggy. The last update made it worse - I can't set the day for a timer any more, I select say to turn the heating on Monday and Wednesday and when I save this schedule the app will save it as Tuesday and Thursday. Previously editing the user selected day (eg Monday and Wednesday) for a timer didn't save changes, so they've half fixed it but broken it in the process. Finding the right control set for an air conditioner is difficult. For a couple of days around daylight savings time the timers are really unreliable, come on at the wrong time and can't even be set correctly as they change as soon as you save them, which is the same as it's been for the 5 years I've used Broadlink devices. It also takes a lot of button clicks to access and adjust the timers for a device, quicker access would be a good feature. The hardware is good but apps from Broadlink have historically been really buggy and difficult to use. They really need to test their apps before releasing them.
