Works well, most importantly, it's reliable - never crashes. Missing feature, what happens if you phone breaks, you lost all your audio you saved for over a year. This app is missing the most important basic feature, the ability to save audio to dropbox. For this reason I am looking for another audio app. Cant risk this happening to me again.

Easy to use, decent sound quality. Unfortunately I have not found a way to record my phone conversations with this unless I put it on speakerphone. Then it works fine, but that's not always feasible. The current version won't record anything during phone calls. The clock moves suggesting that it's recording, but when you play it back there is complete silence. I lost several important calls before I realized it. This app is now useless to me.

It used to work perfectly, I was able to make recordings of 1 hour+ with great quality of some instruments I play. Now, I do not know when or why it happens, but finishing a recording may or may not say 'Nothing recorded'. And even if it says 'Recording saved', I lost some that weren't actually saved. I would recommend not installing it, it's not at all reliable (it was before, which is quite sad to be honest)

It's really exactly what you want out of something that you press a button and it records. And it lets you label them any way you want, & offers straightforward paths to exporting. However, file size is an issue. That's likely to do with Gmail & SMS having limits. I'm not tech savvy enough to know how, but I wish I could get files out of the app into other ways to share with others or get into music software.

If I could save the files I rec, in my gallery or to a destination where I can open the file from my denoiser app then I would rate it as a five star. Everything else I like about it. It's a great app, I can't seem to not rec ALL noises like all ambient noises. If there was an option to clean up the audio's then also give it an additional 5 stars. Hard to get the thing u need on rec so everyone else can hear what you hear when it's also recording the electrical hum of everything else that's on.

Always good. No surprises. I am a newspaper publisher and reporter. I use the app to record interviews. I also record my own radio ads and social media messages. I can record, review over and over to get the one I want because it's so easy to stop, save, cancel, whatever. Then I send my finished recording to the radio station or put it on social media, with the "share" options. I couldn't do without this app!

Smart Recorder (formerly Smart Voice Recorder).. Sound quality, recording volume and level, microphone sensitivity, ability to avoid distortion, ease of use, intuitive functions, appearance are ALL FABULOUS! However, it ONLY records in WAV, so the files take up 5 times as much storage as an MP3. And it ONLY records to the phone's root folder (the same one that usually also contains a DCIM folder), so, and it's a royal hassle to convert them all to MP3, but can be done. So I gave it a 3 Star.

Update: 2020 and still my go-to application for any phone recording requirements. It's amazingly easy to use and everything always sounds great. The recordings are never overdriven and the application seems to be able to automatically adjust the mic gain to match the recording environment. I use it to record band rehearsals and clips from live concerts, and they all sound great. 2015-Does exactly what it's supposed to do and does it well.

I have used this app for a very long time and wouldn't leave it, however, the last update has seen some issues which may require I remove it and find another... sadly. 1) the file name in the app is no longer reflected in the Win File mgr; 2) I can't actually move it of the device onto my win10 system with a usb cable. And.. it would have been nice to be noticed of the change in the file location.
