Broom is an exciting and strategic card game that will test your math skills and tactical thinking. The objective is simple - make groups of cards that add up to 15 points. Each card is worth its numerical value, except for the jack, horse, and king. The game starts with each player receiving three cards and four uncovered cards placed on the game board. Players take turns playing their cards, trying to add up to 15 points with their card and as many as possible from the table. If successful, they collect the cards. If not, they must undo a card. The game continues until all cards are played. The player who last adds up to 15 collects the remaining cards. Points are awarded for various achievements such as making a broom (adding up to 15 with all cards), having the 7 of coins, having the highest number in the seventies, having the most cards, and having the most coins. Get ready for a challenging and fun-filled game of Broom!
Game Preparation
Select Quest Cards: Select the corresponding number of quest cards based on the number of players.
Wash and Mix the Task Card: After washing and mixing the task card, open three pieces and put them in the center of the field.
Make up the Deck: Place the remaining quest cards face down next to the three quest cards face up.
Select Witch Cards: Select the corresponding number of witch cards based on the number of players.
Issue Cards: Shuffle the remaining cards and issue each player a corresponding number of cards based on the number of players.
Draw Extra Cards: Draw one extra card from the library for each player and place it face up.
Play On
Picking Witch Cards: At the beginning of each round, players pick three different witch cards from their respective library and place the remaining cards face down.
Play Witch Cards: After all players have picked their witch cards, the starting player plays one of the cards and says aloud whether the witch is "brave" or "timid".
Round Progress: The other players decide in turn whether to play the same witch card and say aloud whether the witch is "brave" or "timid". If the player does not have a witch card of the same kind, say "Next!" It's the next player's turn.
End of Turn: When all players have said "Next!" Or play a witch card of the same kind and the round ends.
Special Rule
Brave Witches: There will only be one "brave" witch of each type per round, but there may be multiple "cowardly" witches. If a player plays a "brave" witch, the next player plays a "brave" witch of the same type in that round, and the previous "brave" witch will be cancelled.
Cowardly Witch: It's always safe to type a "cowardly" witch. Any subsequent type of witch (whether "brave" or "timid") will not cancel the "timid" witch.
Round Starter: The last player in a round to play the "brave" witch starts the next round and plays a new witch card from his hand. If that player has played all three of his witch cards, the next player clockwise who has at least one witch card in their hand plays a new witch card.
If all the witch cards played by all players are "timid", the first player to play a "timid" witch starts the next turn and plays a new witch card from his hand.
Quest Cards and Scores
Complete Quests: Each game has three randomly selected quest cards. If a player has met all the conditions for a quest card, then at the end of the round, the player takes the quest card and places it face down in their display area. Each task card is worth 5 points.
Multiple Quest Cards: One player can complete more than one quest card per round. If more than one player can complete the same quest at the end of the round, one of the players takes the quest card and the other players take a five-point card from the supply area.
