It is fun. There is an issue with words being mispelled- it inerprets it wrong by astericking the letters and denying the answer or changes it all together and accepts it. Some answers are correct and it is not recognized like Linda Moulton Howe as an author, who is an investigative journalist with 4 books under her belt. I have had the screens load with no words on any menus and lost all progress-you have to copy down a code under the settings to reactivate your account or log in with facebook.

I wish it were more like the board game. Letters are repeated too often, there aren't as many categories, there isn't a reward for alliteration, and why bother not allowing duplicates when there are only 2 players? It changes my word when I make a spelling error but other times it doesn't and so marks my answer wrong... the consistency should be improved. The most annoying part though, I'm having to dispute an incorrect answer nearly every game because the word is obviously not in the database

It's okay. I love the game scattergories but I hate how many ads they have in this game. An ad pops up every game and sometimes it's a two part ad which takes even longer. I also wish the keyboard was more responsive. If I find a better scattergories app I'll be deleting this one based on how many ads I have to watch in such a short time. There's also a weird glitch maybe when I type beta it shows up as beka. There's some other words too but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

Good game that could be better. I like scattergories, and the app is fun and adds to the functionality of the board game with some interesting challenges. I have unfortunately noticed censorship on several of my answers, such as allspice and skyscraper most recently. Also Didi Pickles doesn't count as "famous female" but somehow "sarah" works for "famous vampire". Inconsistent with the precision required. I also wish there were volume sliders for the music and effects instead of just toggles.

I love scattergories. However, this app falls short: The keyboard is not sensitive at all, it takes ages to type a word which is not ideal when you're on a timer. The prompt is cut off during gameplay. If the category is "things you find in space" you can only see "things you find in s-" so make sure you read and memorize when you see the categories at the beginning. It will randomly assign a winner to a tied game. It already crashed after one day and had to be uninstalled and reinstalled.

I love the board game and was excited for the phone version. It's fun enough that I paid for the ad-free version. But the in-game currency (coin) pay-to-play structure is highly irritating if you don't want to spend actual money to play and don't win every game. Updated: changed from three to two stars because it repeatedly asks me to rate the game even though I already have and have selected "never rate" after that.

I love scattergories but this app leaves a lot to be desired. It uses it's own in-app keyboard with a comically large backspace, which causes me to typo every other answer and lose points. And after each round, which only have 6 questions each, i have to watch a long ad and often get kicked to watch an ad when I'm looking at my answers to see what my opponent wrote (the fun of the game!). Lots of weird interfaces glitches overall.

There are some categories that are good but others like pony breed and wrestler name that I'm like WHAT??? And there is a slight lag when trying the word. But overall it's pretty good. Is exciting, you can pay a chapter or friends or a daily competition and customize some frames. Your friends don't have to be connected to play against them. The other problem is that you cannot save your friends. There is a big so the match status saved but sometimes it disappears and comes back.

It would be really good if it didn't use the same three cards over and over again. The letter is almost always one of the same 4 as well. The keyboard is still horrible and misses most letters or selects things you have not clicked. It lags often and everytime I redownload to see if these things have changed they don't and I end up deleting it soon after because of how frustrating it is to use
