A recent leak suggests that Fortnite may soon introduce shoes as a new customization option for players. Known for its extensive range of customization features, Fortnite could be adding another layer of personalization to the game shortly.
Currently, Fortnite is celebrating its annual Fortnitemares event, which has brought an array of Halloween-themed skins, fresh points of interest, unique quests, and enticing rewards, alongside the return of the popular Horde Rush game mode. With the upcoming season set to launch on November 2, speculation is rife about what it may entail. Many fans are eager for a sequel to the Fortnite OG, which is expected to pivot its focus toward Chapter 2, a tease that Epic Games has hinted at recently. The latest leak suggests that the addition of shoes could debut in Chapter 6.
Prominent Fortnite leaker HypeX recently shared insights indicating that Epic Games plans to incorporate shoes into the game’s cosmetic offerings. According to HypeX, these shoes will be available for purchase either individually or in bundles. While the exact V-Buck pricing remains unconfirmed, it is speculated that they may fall within the same price range as Harvesting Tools or Back Bling, typically priced between 200 and 1,500 V-Bucks depending on rarity.
With Fortnite Battle Passes frequently featuring a diverse array of cosmetics, the forthcoming Chapter 6 Battle Pass might also include this new option. Additionally, seasonal rewards often showcase cosmetics such as Skins and Contrails, which could mean shoes might be part of upcoming free unlocks.
Since its launch, Fortnite has continually expanded its cosmetic offerings, introducing items like Back Blings, festival instruments, and vehicle customizations. The game has already collaborated with major brands like Nike and Adidas, resulting in exclusive Skins, Gliders, and other items. Rumors also suggest that Crocs might make an appearance as one of the new cosmetic options. This potential addition could pave the way for further collaborations with various shoe brands. Moreover, the game’s well-known customizable Skins concept could extend to shoes, allowing players to alter their color or design.
While the Fortnite community is buzzing with excitement over this rumor, it's essential to approach leaks with caution. Since Epic Games has yet to verify this information or tease any shoe cosmetics, there remains a possibility that this feature may never materialize. As Fortnite continues to evolve, players can anticipate more exciting cosmetic options in future seasons.
